March 5th -6th WEE SWAP booth and exhibit. Please stop by our booth and register to win free sessions, gift cards and gift bags. If you book a session while visiting our booth you can draw for free prints as well!

March 27th - Saturday - EASTER SESSION at Murphy Bros Nursery- Outdoor session with live bunnies!

April 10th - Saturday - Benefit for St. Jude in memory of Alex Denton - Mommy and Me/ Daddy and Me session. 11 - 3 call to make your appointment.

APRIL 29-30 Thursday and Friday. LITTLE HEROES session. Special session for little boys. Bring in your handsome little man to have pics made with real firefighter gear! He will love getting to wear fireman suit, helmet and boots. My husband is a firefighter so we will have lots of cool props to make this a one of kind session. More on this session soon. Please go ahead and schedule your appointment.

Has it been 3 months since last posted something? That's terrible. Sorry blog and friends. I will try to be more diligent about this. Between email, facebook, website, editing, sessions and just life in general it has slipped my mind to check on this blog.

Ok so the next few months are about get really exciting - we have launched our Feb theme of Angels. Bring in your sweet little angel for this limited edition session. Call for your appointment! $100 includes 8 art proofs! Great deal! What's an art proof- well it's a regular size proof (4x5) but it's been digitally enhanced with special textures - very artsy and fun. Something different. I don't do this to all proofs at regular sessions because it is very time consuming - about 2 hours of work per session. So this is a great deal to get the priceless pics made at a very affordable rate : )

In the next week or so we will be nailing down some session dates for Easter, Beach and Little Heroes sessions. Please check blog for updates. Better yet join our email list on the website home page - scroll down. This is going to be a great way to catch up on our sessions and special pricing.

Deadline to place CARD Orders is November 30th!
Deadline for Regular prints is December 4th

Each card design has a name, please specify the card you want by it’s name.
Once you have placed the order we will send
you a proof of the card through your slideshow or email.

Rain on my Parade

Well the rain has been quite an issue around here. My parade (photography sessions) have been rained out so many times this last month! My appointment book looks like a toddler scribbled over every day. I have marked out appointments so many times it's hard to tell what I have scheduled. Trying to do outdoor sessions has really put us behind schedule and over booked.

Thank you for your patience as we try to regroup and get things going again.

Christmas sessions are Nov 8th and 9th and they are SOLD OUT as well.

Gimme A Break

Update on the next few weeks:

My husband is due home next week from Kuwait. This has been a long deployment for me - having Murphy to take care of and run a business has been quite challenging without Jason around. Pray for his safe travels and that all goes as planned for his arrival.

Having said that I am taking some much needed time off to spend with him and Murphy. We will probably be at home just taking it easy. May try to go see some family and friends and take in football game too.

The 14th is Murphy's Birthday (mine is the 15th) and we will be having his birthday as well as welcome home party for Jason too all in one afternoon..... oh me - my list is getting longer everyday!

Since I will not be here as much from the 14th-27th I am turning your calls and emails over to Macy. She will do her best to answer questions, take print orders and make arrangements for pick up times. There may be things that are out of her control (like proofs being ready) so please be patient with us for a few weeks. All will be back to normal soon.

Thank you for your understanding and patience. I appreciate all your prayers and concerns while Jason has been away. Keep praying for our troops!

This was Murphy last year - only 6 weeks old. We will have a fall scene set up for the children that can sit up on their own. We can accommodate any age - Even sleeping dalmatians : )

CHRISTMAS IS STILL IN THE WORKS. SANTA WILL BE COMING TO THE STUDIO, we just don't know the exact dates yet. If you like to be on the list, please call and we will add your name. As soon as we know the dates we will call the list first for appointments.

Not Moving Downtown and Christmas

Hello Friends -

A lot of you have asked if my business is moving to the building in downtown Florence. I am just renting the window space while the building is for lease. Hope you all can go by and take a peek at the window. If your picture is in the window and you are interested in buying it, let me know. I will discount the window displays prints.

While on the subject of downtown - This Friday the 17th is the start of HANDY WEEK ( I love this time of year in Florence) and they are having a kick off parade at 6pm then "first Fridays" is afterwards - as you may know - first Fridays has already been for this month, but they decided to have it again to go along with the handy week festivities. So watch the parade, enjoy First Fridays part 2 and then from 7-10 the MIDNIGHTERS will be playing in Wilson Park. Hope to see you all there! Go by and check out the window display if you are downtown - it's right next to Ricatoni's

I am already thinking about locations for the Christmas sessions! Keep checking for updates. Think we are going to do some outdoor/wintry type shots for the Christmas scene. Log cabin is is definite possibility! Perfect for families and kids. Those of you that have been here recently for sessions don't feel like you have to do a "Christmas theme" session for cards. You can always use photos from a previous session as your Christmas card pic. Actually, I like that just as much as a themed session.

Christmas Session Dates: November 5th, 6th, 7th - booking sessions every 30-45 minutes.

Hope you all are having a great week. Can't believe July is already here. Time just keeps slippin' up on me. Here's a senior that I photographed a few weeks ago. He is also featured in my window display in downtown Florence. Thanks Taylor for letting me show off your portrait!

I've also had some fun sessions recently with moms and sons. How sweet to see how much little boys love their moms! Wyatt is such a cool kid - his mom dresses him in these great punk rock styles. Connor was a great as well - he loved the big yellow chair and playing in the creek once his momma showed him it was not scarry : )

NEWS, NEWLYWEDS, NEWBORNS and NEW PICS

Greetings! Hope you all are doing well and if you are like me wishing for spring to hurry up and get here!

As some of you may have read on my personal blog - Jason - my husband - is being deployed at the beginning of the month to the Middle East for 5 months. Everyone is leaving me : ( It's ok. I still have lots of family and friends to support me during all these transitions. Please keep our family in your prayers. Since he is leaving soon, we are taking a few days off work to spend some quality time together as a family. I know you will all understand. Just leave messages and I will get them when I get a chance.

My assistant Misti is getting married next week to my brother. That's how I got Misti to start working here. She was dating Daniel and seemed like a great fit for me here at the studio. I am so happy for them and excited about the journey they are about to embark upon. My brother is an incredible guy, such a southern gentleman and hard worker, I'm proud to be his sister.

Misti has been offered a full time job elsewhere and will be leaving around the first part of May. I know, I know.... tears : ( I am truly sad that she's leaving, but I totally understand the need for a full time job. We will miss you Misti and hope you can come to the studio whenever you get a chance. So it will be in my hands for a while. Please be patient with me as I will be training a new girl in the near future.

The Baby Study

Awww just precious! This is a great way to showcase your little ones expressions, small fingers and toes and just those little things you don't want to to forget. There are lots of options, so just keep this in mind if you have several pics from your session that you want to display. I love this as well because you can have several pics on one layout with out having to find places to put a bunch of 5x7's.

In a world of go go go - it's nice to stay "At Home"

I started photographing newborns "At Home" - I love going to homes and capturing you in your environment. The mom loved the idea of being at home where she didn't have to worry about packing everything up and getting everyone to the studio. She also loved that we used the nursery that they worked so hard to decorate. What a great way to remember those early days of newborn life. I hope these images will insprire you think about your home and doing a session there. I just wanted to share these of newborn Kiley - 2 weeks old - just a quick sneak peek at some of the highlights of the session. What a precious family and beautiful nursery!

"Jett 1 Year"

What a handsome little boy - lots of curls! I love his hair. He was full of energy this day. We spent a lot time chasing him around, but the images turned out great. I made this collage because I thought all the shots with the overalls were special. Too hard to pick just one.

Triplets - need I say more!

What a unique session. We had a great time photographing these babies. They were only seven weeks old. I don't think they were ever doing the same thing at one time. Have you ever seen so many little feet! Thank you for choosing me to document this special time!

"Tyler" 1 Year

Tyler is on the baby plan and this was his one year session. He's a big boy with lots of personality. His mother always brings her father because he can get him to smile the best. I did this little collage to showcase "ONE" that he was holding. Cute way to celebrate this milestone!

Cutie Pie! She's so much fun and really animated. I love photographing her - her eyes just sparkle when she smiles. I love this colorful pillow for little girls. It really plays on their personalities.

So I used this pillow again, just flipped over. Her outfit was so colorful and fun that I needed a solid color to anchor her. What a precious little girl. Don't you just love the flower!

"Isabella - 1 year"

Sweet little fairy outfit. I love these wings and whimsicalness they bring to the picture. She is always rolling her tongue - so cute - there's hardly a picture without her doing that.

New Session and Baby Plan Policies:

Good News - Print prices are not changing!

I am now offering AT HOME SESSIONS - that's right I will come to your home! What an awesome treat, especially for those with newborns. I can come to your home or your friend or family's home - it's up to you. The home should have plenty of window light and open spaces. I love to photograph new babies in their beautifully decorated nurseries or maternity sessions in your home are also great!

New Changes to Baby Plan - you will now be expected to pre-pay for each session. So when you book your first session we will need a payment of $125 in order to hold your appointment. At the first session you will pay $125 for the next session and so on. Read Below!

JENNIFER PHOTOGRAPHY PRICE LIST

SESSION DETAILS:

SESSION FEES - Include photographer’s time and digital art design. Session fee is due at the time of the sitting; it should not be considered as a deposit toward orders. $150 minimum order for all sessions, except baby plan. Additional orders (placed after the first order) are subject to $25 minimum order. sessions are designed for up to four people. Add $10 for each additional person

Studio Sessions:

2 outfits
$50 (no proofs) $100 (includes up to 50 proofs)

On Location or At Home Session:
$75 first hour; $ 25 each additional hour (add $50 to include up to 50 proofs)

location of your choice within the Florence/ Lauderdale county Area.

At Home sessions will require homes with lots of natural light - great for newborns.

The Baby Plan $500

(for one baby - four studio sessions)
The baby plan is a great deal if you are looking capture your child’s first year.

It includes FOUR sessions to be used in a one year period. Each session will be done in the studio at the time of your choosing.

You will receive ALL your proofs and either 1 8x10 or 2- 5x7 prints from each session.

At the end of the four sessions you will receive a DVD slide show of all the pictures set to music.

You can add other sessions (newborn, maternity, etc.)

for $75 and still receive all the benefits of the plan.

The first payment of $125 is expected when you book your session in order to hold your appointment. At each session you will prepay for the next session.One session can include mother and baby or family. No minimum order for client.Family or friends who wish to order prints will have a minimum order of $25 or can include their order with yours.

Welcome to my new PHOTOGRAPHY BLOG. I decided to seperate my personal from my business so it would be easier to get the info you wanted rather than read through my life stories...although I will admit some of my stories are really interesting right now...haha. Feel free to read both.

This blog will share info related to upcoming sessions and new products. Also I will have "Photos of Week" I will pick a couple of sessions that stick out to me and show you some shots from them - hopefully these pics will inspire ideas for your future sessions.

"Isabella 3 months"

This sweet little 3 month old was so much fun to photograph. Her mom brought angel wings, a rocking elephant and some really cute hats. Thanks for bringing your fun and interesting props!

" Twins: Connor and Wyatt - One Year"
Wow - the energy that these two have is amazing. Can someone please learn how to bottle the energy of child so we can all buy it! They were a lot of fun - my hats off to the parents. They also have a 3 year old daughter...so they have their hands full! Thought this pic was too cute...

"Garrett - 3 months"
His mama loves Bama and his daddy pulls for the Vols - so what do you do - well we photographed both to make everyone happy!

"Stuart 9 months Avery 3 Years"
These are special kiddos - they are my best friend's children and they come and see me all the way from Nashville. They have the sweetest little faces and beautiful brown eyes. Miss you!

"Cohen - 7 months"
Cohen brought his football and Bear Bryant hat for a Bama session. He smiled the whole time, except for when he was trying to take off the hat. What a sweet little boy - come back soon!

"Kaitlyn - 9 months"
Alabama fans are really showing their pride. I've had lots of sessions recently with Alabama props. Kaitlyn brought lots of Alabama stuff...this little diaper cover was adorable and I'm an Auburn fan....haha. I had to catch her as she crawled toward the crimson and white balls.
